IMPORTANT
NOTICE

To all those returning to
Canada by plane:

Please be aware that if you are
returning home to Canada by plane,
you need to make sure that:

 Your passport is not close to the 
expiration date. Some airlines
won’t let you board if your
passport will be expiring within
the next 6 months.

 If you are a Permanent Resident, 
please make sure that your PR
Card is valid and not expired.
Airlines may not let you on the
plane with an expired PR Card.

There have been several unfortunate incidents
recently where people were stranded and unable
to come back to Canada because of an expired
PR Card or a passport close to the expiration
date.
To avoid unnecessary headaches, make sure that
your passport and PR Card will still be valid by
the time you come home.
