Rabbi Yehouda Benoliel set out to
build a fortress of Torah learning
of the highest standard, seek-
ing out individuals - Rabbanim,
Dayanim - whose teaching could
produce the next generation of
Sephardic Talmide Chachamim of
the highest quality.
To this end, he sought out two
local leaders that understand
the Montreal community, whose
combined breadth of knowledge
and Torah experience would set
the bar; and the Avrechim rose to
the challenge. With their support,
the Avrechim have become a cor-
nerstone of the Montreal Jewish
community and serve as a model
for Torah learning in the city.
