“At one point in time in
Montreal, there was no
possibility—and there-
fore no ambition—for
the average person to
sit and learn all day.

I felt called to change
that! To build on the
work of those who
came before me and
be a Nachshon on be-
half of the Sephardic
community. To make
it ring with authentic
Torah in a proud, open
way.

To turn local Jews into
true Bene-Torah with a
complete adherence to
and reverence for To-
rah and Mitzvot. Cote-
St-Luc is now echo-
ing with the sound of
many Kollelim.
That was my original
goal when I estab-
lished Kollel Avrechim.”
