The Mental Health of Religious Immigrants and Religious Minorities: A Comparative
Study
Frum/ Haredi Jewish participants wanted for a study of religion and mental health
Dr Rob Whitley is a researcher at McGill University interested in mental health and religion.
He is looking to interview members of the Frum/ Haredi Jewish community aged 18 or
over who practice their faith, and have seen a therapist, doctor or other clinician for mental
health reasons in recent years
Participants will take part in a confidential and anonymous interview lasting around 90
minutes. The aim of this interview is to understand views on mental health and mental
illness, and experience with mental health services. Participants will be able to choose their
preferred language (French or English), as well as the location of the interview.
Participants will be compensated for their time.
