As we approach the Yomim Tovim, members of the CJHQ
met with high-ranking officials of the CBSA to discuss and
bs”d improve the procedures and interactions with the many
Heimishe travelers who will be passing the border during
Succos.

For the benefit of our community, the CBSA officials asked us to
pass on the following information:
• You may bring into Canada the Lulav and Esrog into Canada
which you must declare at the border
• In case a traveler gets sent to the side for further inspection, the
officials will know what the םינימ 'ד are and will know to
handle it with the utmost respect and care.
• They have agreed to provide more personnel and officers to
help shorten waiting time by the Canadian border
• They asked that people make sure to fill in the necessary
information into ArriveCan since this helps speed things up at
the border
• They have also made clear that in order for fully vaccinated
travelers to be exempt from quarantine, you must fill in
ArriveCan. Travelers who don’t, may be required to quarantine
even if they are fully vaccinated.
• They have also clarified that those who have filled in ArrivCan
can use any line at the border, not just the designated
ArriveCan line.
